The main purpose of this blog is to answer the question: Why do I want to do things a certain way?
When joining new projects, I want to bring lessons from past experiences, and the best way to do that is by documenting why I chose certain approaches and how well they worked. I aim to capture both successes and failures to build an encyclopedia-like site where I can point people to insights from previous projects. I also want to experiment with different techniques and form my opinions on software design through hands-on experience.

This is especially important in my role as an Architect, where projects often scale to 40+ developers, making it difficult to align everyone on every principle. By showcasing common patterns and examples I use, this site can help carry experience across teams and projects.

Another purpose of this blog is to share my passion for various topics in software. I enjoy coding challenges, theoretical computer science books, and performance optimization, and I want to bring these interests to life here. Once enough posts are available, they will be organized into categories.

I currently work at Netcompany as a Managing Architect. My main responsibility is to ensure a solid technical foundation for our software deliveries. This role is a balancing act: making pragmatic decisions to deliver on time, while still upholding principles that support long-term maintainability. Projects tend to change every couple of years, which also inspired me to start documenting different approaches and experiences.

I earned my MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). My background reflects a duality: while I enjoy the theoretical side of software, I’m most passionate about solving real problems for real people. During my studies, I also worked for several companies, giving me an early start in my professional journey.

Note: The email on this site doesn’t currently work, as everything is still a work in progress. I’ll continue improving the site if people find it helpful, or if it proves valuable for sharing knowledge between projects.
